WHAT IS GOLDEN CHAIR INTERNATIONAL?
Golden Chair International is a platform created to bring local professional haircutters to the main stage through competition and education. There will always be food, music, urban entertainment and style for professionals in all democracies.
INSPIRATION
The barber battle originated in the United States decades ago, as a way to showcase barber industry professionals at trade shows. They were later popularized as standalone niche events.
THE BEGINNINGS
Golden Chair was born from the American Barber Battle in Barcelona envisaged in 2014 and held its first edition in 2016. In 2017 the name was changed with the presentation of the unique golden barber chair trophy.
FUTURE
After the success of the 7th edition in Spain in January 2020, where more than 120 professionals from 11 countries spread across 3 continents took part, Golden Chair International returns in 2023 to Barcelona. This time, the event also extends to Uzbekistan and, new for the 9th edition, to Paris, France!
